Viking Gods

The Vikings worshipped many different gods.  They were like Superhumans rather than being altogether different.  They ate, drank, had wives and children..  They lived in Asgard.  Their enemies were the giants who lived in Jotunheim.  Here are some of the main ones.

The Vikings believed that when warriors died, they would go to Valhalla, a bit like al warrior heaven.  There they would battle all day and feast all night with the gods.

At the end of time, the Vikings believed that there would be an event called Ragnarok, where most of the gods and humans would be killed, but that there would be enough who survived to cause the world to be reborn.

Later the Vikings became Christians, when they moved to other countries, especially England.  They often kept worshipping their old gods alongside the new Christian god, though.
