Shahada This is the main religious belief of all Muslim people and it is a declaration of their faith. The English words are;

There is no god but Allah; Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. Or as some muslims prefer... "There is no god but the One God" meaning there is only one God for all mankind.

Anyone who says these words and means it can become a Muslim.

The fourth pillar of Islam is almsgiving as an act of worship; "the zakat is earmarked for the poor and disabled".  The amount a Muslim pays depends on their wealth and how they make their money.  It is one fifth of the profits made on Mining and Oil, One tenth of farmers' produce and one fortieth of the value of money made by shops and businesses.
